Formed in 1995, the original formation of the band was known as "Alerte à Skalibu". They were rapidly successful in their area, after performing many concerts and festivals, the band was selected for and won the prestigeous regional award "Tour en Région" in 2000.

2000 was also a great year for the group who signed with the major label Mercury who didn't deliver on their promises...a real nightmare!!!...for all concerned, which led to the break up of the band...Nevertheless Lord Skalipsoul got back on track with new musicians: the now famous Skalibu All Stars! The band has toured widely in the past few years appearing as a supporting act with great Jamaican headliners like The Skatalites, The Gladiators, Israel Vibration, LKJ, Capleton, Mad Professor, Johnny Dread, Mackabee; top american ska bands like the Hepcat and the Scofflaws, english groups like Topcats; french reggae and ska bands: Spook and the Guay, Ejectés, Skarface, Moonhop; the african band Issa Bagayogo and Son Trinidad from Cuba.

The new album "In the studio!" is an entirely independant production and contains all our new songs except a cover of 1937 calypso. Listen to each of the 20 songs featuring on the album!

Skalipsoul's passion for the authenticity of the original jamaican music of the 60's (ska to reggae) and trinidadian calypso is reflected throughout the texts and music. Check dis out!! He spent several years promoting jamaican music as a DJ on a Radio programm known as "Rude boys avenue" as well as in niteclubs where he's still performing every Tuesday at the Tapas in Nice (old town)...

So get on board folks, Lord Skalipsoul's cruiseship will take you to a tremendous trip through the shores of the West Indies.

Nuff sweetness a gwaan!!

Nothing is ever complete...enjoy the space between cycles...
